High-sensitive detection and quantitation of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) from capillary/fingerstick and venepuncture whole-blood using fluorescence-based rapid lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA)
Shurbaji et al.
The finding, in our words
In 102 samples, quantitative TSH by Finecare LFIA showed strong correlation (r approximately 0.93) and excellent agreement (Cohen's kappa 0.85) with the Roche CobasPro reference; using serum, sensitivity was 90.5% and specificity 96.3% for diagnosing thyroid abnormalities, supporting fingerstick and whole-blood use for decentralised TSH testing.
