Dried blood spot self-sampling at home is a feasible technique for hepatitis C RNA detection
Prinsenberg et al.
The finding, in our words
Self-sampled dried blood spots collected at home showed strong agreement with laboratory DBS and plasma for HCV and HIV-1 RNA quantification, and RNA remained stable over 21 days. This supports decentralised, patient-centric microsampling for diagnosis and monitoring of HCV and HIV.
