Prevalence of HPV infection among Thai schoolgirls in the north-eastern provinces in 2018: implications for HPV immunization policy
Vongpunsawad et al.
The finding, in our words
Urine sampling with the Colli-Pee device revealed a substantial burden of high-risk HPV infection among unvaccinated Thai schoolgirls, with prevalence increasing from 8.6% in grade 10 to 12.4% in grade 12, demonstrating the feasibility of decentralised screening to guide immunisation policy.
