High risk injecting behaviour among people who inject pharmaceutical opioids in Australia
Iversen et al.
The finding, in our words
More than half of Australian opioid injectors reported recent injection of pharmaceutical opioids, and this behaviour was linked to daily injection, sharing of syringes or equipment, overdose and regional residence, indicating a need for targeted harm reduction including naloxone and specialist filters.
