Urine testing to monitor the impact of HPV vaccination in Bhutan and Rwanda
Franceschi et al.
The finding, in our words
In school-based surveys in Bhutan and Rwanda, first-void urine self-collection detected lower HPV6/11/16/18 prevalence in vaccinated than unvaccinated students, with a prevalence ratio of 0.12 in Rwanda by GP5+/GP6+ and 0.45 by E7-MPG, supporting the feasibility of urine surveys to monitor vaccine impact.
