Accuracy of human papillomavirus tests on self-collected urine versus clinician-collected samples for the detection of cervical precancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Cho et al.
The finding, in our words
Some PCR-based HPV assays such as GP5+/6+, SPF10 and non GP5+/6+ PCR show similar sensitivity in urine compared with clinician-collected samples for detecting CIN2 or worse, supporting urine self-collection as a viable alternative for cervical precancer screening.
