Acceptability to Healthcare Professionals of Home-Based HPV Self-Sampling for Cervical Screening: A French Qualitative Study Conducted in an Area with Low Access to Health Services
Le Goff et al.
The finding, in our words
Healthcare professionals in underserved French regions viewed home-based HPV self-sampling as a viable solution to low screening coverage, trusting vaginal sampling while accepting urine as an alternative for women with conditions such as vaginismus. They identified kit design flaws, instruction complexity, and patient anatomical knowledge gaps as implementation barriers requiring attention in decentralised screening programmes.
