Chronic sexually acquired reactive arthritis secondary to Chlamydiatrachomatis
Basu et al.
The finding, in our words
Two cases of sexually acquired reactive arthritis secondary to Chlamydia trachomatis were diagnosed by PCR on first-void urine. This demonstrates that urine-based molecular testing can identify the infectious trigger in reactive arthritis, supporting decentralised STI screening and subsequent rheumatology referral.
