Chlamydia trachomatis infection among patients attending sexual and reproductive health clinics: A cross-sectional study in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, China
Yan et al.
The finding, in our words
In Shenzhen sexual and reproductive health clinics, 10.3% of attendees tested positive for Chlamydia trachomatis by NAAT on self-collected urine, with similar prevalence in men and women; younger age, prior never testing and co-infection with Neisseria gonorrhoeae were independent risk factors, indicating the need for comprehensive CT screening and treatment programmes.
